avatar size?

what is up with this forums avatar size limit? 6kb! you could really only get a blank avatar!! and why 80x80?

any chance of that being changed? i like avatars, helps to recognize and personalize peeps.

I dunno, 6kb seems to work out okay for me.

It would be nicer to have a little more quality in it, but if it doesn't work out - you can always save your file as a gif and keep reducing the amount of colours til it's just under 6kb.

(It's what I did anyway).

I've updated the avatar size to 30k, which should be more than enough for most people. The reason the dimensions are 80 x 80 is so that we don't have ridiculously sized avatars cluttering up the forum.
