How many times has someone walked up to you and given you something of value and expected nothing in return?

Probably never.

You might get lucky once and walk past a market stall as they're shutting up shop and they give you something for free. Generally though, it doesn't happen.

But yeah, it doesn't happen often. I've done so a couple of times but only because I was interested in trying out a certain site, and couldn't be bothered to start up a trade.
