My many different ways to get referrals

I'm a new Mod and i'm here to help! Here are a few methods i used when i started working on the freebie scene and they should give you guidance to find yourself your very own method, enjoy guys!

YOUTUBE - Just try and get a good video up on youtube that you think will get A LOT of views and on the description part of the video type in your site or ref link and give a short but snappy explanation on the freebie scene. I made remixes of a few music tracks using different software and used a few pictures of the artists to make a video and put them on youtube. In my Youtube account it says i've had over 20,000 views in total from my videos which isn't so bad Razz

- i recommend this method to get freepay greens as this one works well freepay for some reason lol

GUMTREE - this is a free advertising site that i used back when i first started getting into the freebie scene. This is a method that got me 80 yellows and 6 greens on apple.fj ( 3 went on hold Sad

)...A lot of people have started using this method now which is why you might not end up with the same results as i did. Basically just make an advertisement and post on gumtree, I made advertisements that had plenty of info on the freebie scene. It was a really long advertisement which had a lot of detail in it but it bought the results in.

ARES - Ares as you all know is a P2P client just like limewire. Ares has a great chatroom which at peak times (7PM on a weekday) is packed out. I use to jump into each chatroom and write "Go on this site to get a free Wii, PS3 or 360 >>>>> (reflink)"...it was a fun way to get referrals because you could actually message people who seemed interested in doing it and you could get easy greens from the chatrooms.

ICQ Chatrooms - Another busy chatroom, i found it very hard to get greens from this method but i only used it for a few days. Just go into the UK chatroom and say "want a free iPhone (or other gifts) for free? Message me for info" people will start messaging you and just explain to them how it's possible to recieve free gifts, you could persuade people into completing offers for you.

Has anyone had any luck converting yellows by emailing them and introducing yourself?

i've e-mailed all my yellows and it doesn't seem to have done much so far - none of them have responded and they're all still yellow Crying or Very sad

. I do think it's a good idea to get in touch though - a short e-mail saying hi and offering help if required can't really do any harm.

I emailed 15 people 2 days ago and so far i've had 2 responses. My email simply said thanks for signing up under my referral link and if they have any questions give me a shout. So far i've had 2 replies with the second being later converting to a green once I explained what she should do

Thanks for the tips! About the youtube method, did you get a lot of refferals from it? (Even if not on freepay).

Just thought of something...

Are Gumtree adverts moderated? Wouldn't they be deleted and not even make it to public viewing?

Or is the trick to not allude to the freebie scene and just wait till they email you then hit them with the information?
