Ok, so many people just go around to random places, paste their link and hope for the best - some places are better than others, as some are savvy to these links and have 'heard it all before' and wont budge if you talk to them about it.
If you have been putting your link on a forum/chatroom/website rank it in here.
No advertising though.

[Forums]
Gaiaonline - HUGE forum, but vast majority of users are young, and thus dont have a credit card to do offers with - [3/5]
Most technology forums - most on these forums are geeks, and so have seen these websites already, not many will go through with it. [2/5]

[Chatrooms]
HabboHotel- Most are too young, and those who are older will just report you for 'spamming'. Also you cant Ctrl+p ingame, so you have to manually type each message out each time. [1/5]
Places similar to habbohotel - Same as before, too young to do offers, little chance of getting greens from there. [1/5]
Isketch - Most are young, in the social section there are older people though, and some will listen, most will try and kick you [2.5/5]
Irc - Huge amount of chatrooms, difficulty is finding a room with people who will do it and not kick/ban you for posting your link there.[2/5]
Googling 'chatroom' - Usually these will be full of cyberers, they wont do it off the bat, but if you make them do it in return of 'maybe giving you pics' they'll probs do it. Then you just need to never go there again Razz [2.5/5]

[Games]
Any mmo - A lot of people ingame, easy to talk to people. But can get you banned, so do it in like a free one instead of one you paid for. Those playing free mmos though are generally under 18.[2.5/5]
Second life - Not very populour anymore, but those in the over 18's second life will be over 18, so they'll more than likely do offers since they have credit cards and stuff [3/5]
-

[Misc Sites]
Craigs list - If you search for those wanting to buy an ipod, you can fire them an email with a link to your free ipod website. Most will ignore it, but you might get a few who sign up - as they're actually wanting an ipod in the first place. [3/5]
GumTree - been flooded with similar links, and will now delete your postings if you post your link on there. [0/5]
Twitter - if you have a large enough following, and have the guts to do it, then you can twitter that you're trying to get a free ipod and politely ask others to do it for you. Theres a likelyhood that you could get banned, but its giving the link to a lot of people at the one time. [2.5/5]

[Other methods]
Emailing friends - Can be annoying for your friends, but if you convince them to do it its a good way to get greens. [3.5/5]
Putting up posters in universities/colleges - this advertised to MANY people, and since those in uni/college are students and are skint they'll be interested. Do it in places you dont go to incase you get in trouble - dont want to be expelled Razz [4/5]
Torrenting 'free ipod.txt' - uploading a textfile with your link and an explanation is a good idea, will maybe get you a few yellows and a few greens once a month or something, but you gotta remember to seed it. Otherwise noone will be able to download it.
