We have now added a prerequisite of 25 previous posts for participating in the trading forums. This is to reduce the number of opportunist scammers who join the trading section to complete trades.
As trading 'etiquette' we are suggesting the (informal) rule that those with the most posts complete their end of the trade last. So, for example, if there are two people trading, and one has 50 posts, and the other has 10 posts, then the person with 50 posts goes green after the person who has 10 posts. _________________ The UK's no.1 free stuff site!

does the number of posts now over rule the number of feedback then? because to be honest, i think i trust someone with high feedback more than i trust someone who has posted lots.

Yes but there have been instances where a scammer has had feedback. stevenlockwood who scammed a few people had a feedback of 3.

yeah i know that, but i would have thought it'll be easier for a scammer to stick up a load of posts than for them to have to do trades. im not saying its not a good idea or anything was just wondering how it works with the feedback and posting rule. which comes first.

The problem with feedback is that it could be someone with multiple accounts who has given themselves that feedback, or even someone who has gotten a friend to sign up and do pretty much the same thing (on a different computer, so that the IP address is different).
At least with posts, you can find the posts by the user trading and decide whether they're making valuable contributions and obviously somebody who wants to keep their reputation on this site, or whether they've obviously put a load of nonsense posts so that they can go first (I believe there's a link on the user's profile to find "all posts by this user" or along those lines).
Anyway, it's just a suggested rule, so it does have some flexibility I'm guessing. |

i agree with both suggestions. I know I just signed up, but I def want to prove that I am an honest poster that is willing to help anyone that is willing to help me. So i dont mind completing anyones offer as long as there is no charge to me. Free trials or anything else that doesnt require money out of my pocket
