|
|
Hi i've just joined this site with a view to gaining more information about getting freebies and to possibly do some trades but I know on some sites there are lots of rules about what you can and can't do (e.g. no trades until 5 posts placed, no links to websites on your posts, no trades via pm's etc) so was basically wondering if there is a place on here with a list of rules as i've looked around quite a bit and can't find a list? (probably me being blind!)
Thanks |

A lot of rules are just common sense but if it helps, the main ones are:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
- No Multiple accounts
- No Spamming
- No Scamming (which is kinda obvious)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
- People with lower post counts and or feedback to go first in a trade (unless the other person REALLY insists on going first...)
- Keep trades out in the open, for people to see (i.e. By making a thread). If you trade via PM, or MSN, it is a lot easier for people to scam, and a lot harder for us to prove anything (in order to ban the person).
- Ref links in the Trade section only, don't use any other thread/section as an area to advertise your ref link, as it will most likely get removed (and if it's done continually, the person responsible may also be removed).
- If in doubt, ask a mod or in here before doing anything too major. Chances are, if you're doing something wrong, we'll tell you
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
(The rules in bold are the more serious ones, and could result in an instant ban without being informed)
I'm sure there are more rules, but hopefully you get the idea.
Good luck, and I hope you get the information you need |

Thanks very much that was very helpful.
I was mainly asking because I received a PM about wanting to trade greens and wasn't sure if it was against the rules or if it was just not recommended in case you get scammed. The person that contacted me does have a good rating so wasn't sure if it was still ok? |

Was it Gareth?
My point about the PMs is that they can't be stopped (unless all PMs were stopped) but to save all the fuss and agony of being scammed and not being able to prove it, trades should be done in the trade area for everyone to see
Even if you trust this person, I'd very strongly advise you make a thread about the trade.
Sound fair? |

Yep sounds fair.
No it wasn't Gareth it was mg_uk.
I nearly did it as well as I am new to this and didn't realise the rules and number of scammers out there but at least I know now.
Thanks for the help |
