kk i give you some feedback if its your first video it was preety cool i guess. What i liked was the link between the cars and the dancers with the colours being almost identicly however the reactions of the cars didn reciprocate with the dancers. The cars where thrasing and chancing around after each other spinning donuts and what some times looked like showing off to impress each other. With the dancers was more fluid and dare i say a lil dull in comparision. I didnt really get what the video was for or about. Would of been cool if the dance was abit more up beat and there was abit of passion or somethign that replicate the sense i was gettin from the cars. Far shot on the cars doing figure of 8's was great however could of used some more angles on the dancers just the same high angles shot.
hope it helps was a decent atempt _________________

That was quite a good video - an unusual concept for a music video (although a great idea for a car advert), but I think it mostly works.
There was a period from about 00:45 - 02:00 where I think its a bit flat: we've got the idea, the cars and the people are dancing, but I don't think the editing then advances this idea until 02:00 / 02:10 when you do the fade with the dancers coming forward to the viewer and then the cars racing past and into the distance. From then on the editing is more exciting, and I think you close really well.
So one suggestion is to try a few more composite shots of the dancers and the cars from 00:45 - 02:00. I don't know if this would look cool, melodramatic or OTT, but it might hold the viewer's interest a little better.
Another is to get a few shots of the black car 'leading' the red car - I liked the way that towards the end of the dance the woman became more expressive and this was reflected in some exhuberant manouevering of the red car. But it felt like the balance was a bit off - there wasn't comparable stuff for the black car, when the man was leading the dancing.
Constructive criticism there - I liked the video and thought it ended really strongly. |
